The Kids Cancer Project

I was delighted to be able to volunteer with the Kids Cancer Project and take part in their golf day. This organisation raises awareness for kids suffering with cancer on a mission to try and create a world where children with cancer come out with little to no long term effects. The Autumn Golf day brought together businesses and people that all shared one thing in common: their love for the Kids Cancer Project. I can’t imagine what these young children are going through but the smallest thing I could do was give my time. I was able to assist in selling raffle tickets, receiving donations, helping take photos as well as being educated in the impact that cancer can have on children and how this organisation helps to improve each child’s experience. The KCP also provides bears through people’s generous donations to comfort young children at their bedside at some of the scariest times. This experience was so much fun and eye opening, realising that every small donation counts.
